The Steelers are underdog next week despite having the #1 seed and homefield advantage. I understand them being underdogs. They haven't played dominating football since the last time they played the Patriots. I actually am glad they're underdogs. The Steelers, pretty much ever since Cowher started coaching them, have always played best when noone expected them to win. That's why they always seemed to start off seasons slow and, when everyone was down on them, they'd go on a winning streak to make the playoffs. And when they were the favorites in the playoffs, they stalled. I think it should be a good game next week.
By the way, despite the trouble he's given the Steelers in the past, I think people put too much into the fact that Corey Dillon didn't play last game. The Steelers have stopped a number of great running backs this year, including Jamal Lewis and Curtis Martin twice. One thing that worries me is that Belichick is a great coach and is the best at making a gameplan towards a specific opponent. If the Patriots win, it won't be because of Dillon. It will be because of their coach.
