I became an uncle again on Wednesday. I have my first niece. She's the first girl in the immediate family and my mom was holding back tears when she called to tell me. Despite my lobbying, she wasn't named Tommie.

I won't get to see her until next weekend. I'm staying in NJ for this three-day labor day weekend.
