Okay, I can't remember the last weekday night that I was home before 9pm and most night I'm home later. And when I'm home during the weekends, I'm catching up on rest, so this is the first time I've logged into my computer at home in about three weeks.

Anyway, I have a bunch of things to write about, but the Pirates baseball game started about 10 minutes or so ago and I want to drive to the bar to watch it, so I'll just try and hurry and write about the three car-related incidents that's happened to me the past month.

First, in mid-April, I was driving home one friday evening when I just got off the highway at Camden and suddenly all the error messages flashed on my car, then all my lights went out. I found myself driving through Camden, at night, in the rain, with no headlights, no hazards lights, no turn signals. I did have windshield wipers. The next morning, I came out and everything was working again and the garage couldn't find anything wrong. Something in the electrical system must have gotten wet. The only thing not back to normal is now, when I lock the car, if I hit the lock button twice, instead of beeping once and blinking the lights, it now beeps twice and doesn't blink the lights.

Second story: I got pulled over one evening as it was getting dark. I wasn't speeding cause I knew there was cops sitting in that area all the time. Instead, it turns out the little light that lights up the license plate was out. So I didn't get a ticket. I figure, since at the time I wasn't driving through the best part of town, the cop was looking for other, more serious things.

Third story: this friday I was driving home from work and as I was switching lanes, there was a piece of truck debris in the middle of the lane and I didn't have time to avoid it. It was short enough to go under the bumper, but tall enough to damage my power steering line. I pulled over to the side of the road, got the metal from under my car and there was fluid coming out from my car. Since I didn't know at the time what the fluid was, I called for a tow truck. Luckily, it was well under my insurance deductible so I didn't have to file a claim, but I could have done without the expense. Bydaway, I saved the hunk of metal. I'll post a picture when I get a chance.
