Looking at the TV Guide listings, tonight an audition episode of American Idol will be followed by the State of the Union address. The question is: will people be able to tell when the first one ends and the second begins?
Yes, I'll be posting regularly again. I'm aiming for at least three times a week.

Okay, just a quick post right now. I'm still recovering from the Steelers win today. But this will be the start of regular posts. I came back from spending ten days with my parents over Christmas and had to recover from the trip. It's like, when I'm at my parents, I'm in a state of perpetual stress.
Also, while I was home, the heater in my car stopped working. I took it to a mechanic and told him that I didn't want to put much money into it because I'll be getting one soon. He was able to fix it inexpensively, but he told me that the axle was worn and I would get about another 2,000-4,000 miles out of it. It's a little more expensive to fix. I could have it fixed if I was keeping the a while, but since I was planning on getting a new one in march or april, I'm just pushing up my plans and getting one this month. So I've been researching cars, car financing and car insurance. I could get my car as early as this week. I'm waiting to hear back about a car loan. I'm buying a blue Ford Mustang. Anyway, if anyone is interesting in a very inexpensive car that needs a little work, let me know. I figure I'll get more for my old car if I sold it than if I tried to trade it in.
So, besides my normal work, I've been car hunting and watching the Steelers. This means in two weeks, I should have alot more time on my hands.
In the past, I've had problems with x-mas presents, especially from my parents. This year, my mom was determined to get me something that I would like for Christmas. At first I told her no clothes, then I just told her no clothes from one of the big department stores, like Sears or J.C.Penny's. I said that because I don't normally shop at those place and when I returned the clothes she got me last year to J.C. Penney's, I had a hard time finding stuff I wanted from there. Basically, the only thing they have there for me is clothes for work and if I wanted that, I wouldn't have returned the presents in the first place. I still have $6 on a Penney's gift card from when I returned the gifts.
Anyway, so I told my mom nothing from department stores and also that you could not go wrong with something Steelers. I also told her gift cards were only good if they were something that couldn't be bought and wrapped, like gift cards for the movie theatre, restaurants or airlines. So I got a Steelers sweatshirt that my mom hadn't noticed until wrapping it that the security tag was left on. Also, the threading of the wording on the sweatshirt was starting to frey. Since, I had to take it back to get the security tag taken off, I decided to try and get one without a problem with the stitching. They were out of Steelers ones, so I got a Penguins one. They also got me Steelers golf club head covers and Steelers socks. I haven't golfed in two and a half years and my clubs have been sitting in my basement since before I moved to New Jersey. More so, my clubs tend to get muddy when I use them, so using club head covers would only serve to get the inside of the covers dirty. Also, I haven't worn socks that were multi-colored since I've started buying socks for myself. So, I had to choose between keeping the covers and socks and feeling bad everytime I saw them because I wouldn't use them or take them back. I took them back to Dick's Sporting Good in New Jersey figuring I'll get a gift card that I could use on their website to buy something Steelers related. Turns out they have nothing on their website that I particularly want. They have a couple nice Steelers watches. One is over $200 and the others can't be delivered for over a month, which means they won't arrive before all games are over, so I'm putting off buying one for now. What I really wanted was another Steelers replica shirt. Dick's has a piss-poor selection. They have no offensive or defensive linemen and only two linebackers, both of which I already own. They have Duce Staley's shirt available, despite the fact that he hasn't been activated for most games this year, but they don't have half of the Steelers pro bowlers. My first choice would be Casey Hampton. They have it at Hometown Sports, but not at Dick's. I think that's the real problem I'm having. I looked in both stores around Pittsburgh when I was back there and I could probably spend a thousand dollars at hometown sports if I had it, but I didn't see one single item in Dick's that I wanted. But the present was bought at Dick's so I'm stuck buying something there. And the fact that for the second time in two months I've returned presents has been making me feel guilty. I feel guilty for returning presents. That feeling is compound by the fact that I'm stuck buying from someplace that I wouldn't shop at if I didn't have to. I think next year I'll try again to have my parents not buy me a present. Either that or set a $20 maximum limit on gifts.
Okay, this post was supposed to be quick, but that should be the last of my gifts rant until next christmas.
Anyway, the Steelers won and are finally going back to the super bowl! The day after the super bowl is my dad's birthday, so I might drive back to Pittsburgh that weekend. I'm not sure, though. It depends on factors such as if I get my new car and what the weather's like.
So I'm ending the post now, but I'm hoping to post atleast three times a week.
